Alt-pop-noir with a folky flavour and a punky twist

Selma & Band is an all-female force where delicate vulnerability collides with ferocious rage. Moving seamlessly between dark folk, alternative pop-noir and punk-infused outbursts, their sound whispers, howls, and burns.

Since 2023 Selma performs with bass player Iris van Huis and drummer Sophie Neijts. An exciting collaboration which led to building a small yet dedicated following of fans who connect with their music on a deep level.

November 2025 they released their first album together as a band: In The Boy’s Room. With lyrics that slice into themes of feminism, sexual freedom, desire and heartbreak, In The Boy’s Room is an intimate and unflinching record; honest, urgent, and unfiltered.
