Alt-pop-noir with a folky flavour and a punky twist

Selma & Band is an all-female force where delicate vulnerability collides with ferocious rage. Moving seamlessly between dark folk, alternative pop-noir and punk-infused outbursts, their sound whispers, howls, and burns.

Since almost three years Selma performs with bass player Iris van Huis and drummer Sophie Neijts. An exciting collaboration which led to building a small yet dedicated following of fans who connect with their music on a deep level.

November 2025 they released their first album together as a band: In The Boy’s Room. With lyrics that slice into themes of feminism, sexual freedom, desire and heartbreak, In The Boy’s Room is an intimate and unflinching record; honest, urgent, and unfiltered.
